ATV today announced that it has adopted a new organizational constitution for the first time in five years, and has secured its ratification by the Student Media Board.
The ATV Constitution is the primary governing document for the organization, which establishes the core structure and policies of the station. This revised constitution reflects the extent to which ATV has grown and evolved in recent years, and formalizes many procedures already in place at the station, while ensuring that ATV has a strong foundation to operate from in years to come.
Some highlights of our new constitution include:
- A fully revised and updated Mission Statement
- A clearer leadership structure for ATV’s Executive Board and departments
- A revised and clarified process for students interested in proposing new shows to ATV
- Formal establishment of policies concerning copyright and licensing of ATV-produced content
- New financial procedures allowing ATV to responsibly save for future equipment and infrastructure investments
- A Whimsy Clause, to remind us why we do what we do.
